Thanksgiving was pretty enjoyable this year. Not so stressful like the holidays every year. We had Thanksgiving breakfast at our place with Mom and Scott. It was delicious....waffles, bacon, eggs, everything u can think of. I'm starting to use most of our wedding presents.:) I'm getting a hang of this cooking thing. Not so bad.
For Thanksgiving dinner we went to Jordan's parents house. I of course felt the need to make a Pavlova. My mom use to make it all the time growing up and is one of my most favorite desserts. I'm so proud of my self that I was able to make it without any complications. Though having my mothers supervision helped out a lot too. Hehe.
After Turkey Day dinner I of course participated in "Black Friday" with the Penman gals. The crowds were a little more doable this year. Not as bad. I scored a brand new Dyson and might I add that it is the " Shiiiiiz". That thing is so powerful and picks up "The Beamer" hair like a champ. My vacuum OCD has become a little more obsessive now these days.
The following day, I did my best to get our tree and decorations up for Christmas. Trying to get our attitudes in the Christmas spirit. We are Grinches this time of year but we are changing that. I think we just have such a hard time seeing how greedy people in general get around this time of year and it just makes us sad. We are not going to let other people ruin our holiday cheer this year. We have tons of holiday events coming up this month and were stoked.
We started the holiday season out right, by making the annual Penman ginger bread houses. It's always a fun tradition Jordan's mom does for all of us and glad she does. Gives us something to look forward too.
